The promise to “raise up a prophet like me” by Moses to the Israelites was a great understatement. Jesus speaks God’s Word with authority because Jesus is God Himself!

It seems that in our world there is an abundance of so called preachers of the Word who edit it so it becomes “sweeter” to the listeners. Our God does not need editors of His Word. The Holy Spirit can work with the plain text of Scriptures.
