First Wednesday in Lent
Mark 14:12-15
The First Sunday In Lent
Genesis 22:13-14
Abraham was tested, and he withstood the test of faith. Jesus was tested and he withstood His test. It is a marvelous way to live one’s life knowing the Lord will provide. He never fails. This will become particularly clear at our grave!
Ash Wednesday
Matthew 6:1-2
The Season of Lent begins today, Ash Wednesday. Lent induces us to worship the Lord with sincerity of heart. It calls for self-examination, contrition (sorrow for one’s sins) and repentance. During Lent, we have special Wednesday Services.
The Transfiguration
Mark 9:2-4
Gradually Jesus revealed Himself to us in His ministry on earth. The church-year season of Epiphany focuses on this revelation, that is, Epiphany. Jesus showed His glory to the three disciples who were with Him on the Mount.
Sixth Sunday After Epiphany
2 Kings 5:10-11
