In depths of the despair the captives of Babylonia cried out: “Oh that you would rend the heavens and come down.” Well, God did-in today’s Gospel. Our cry today is the same as Isaiah’s congregation. We long for our King!
At the end of a church year in which the Lord gave us his gifts in this place called Blessed Savior every week, our only response is to sing for joy and gratefulness. Dear Lord God, thank you, in Jesus’ name.
Come, Lord Jesus. Amen
The end of the church year is one week away. But, we do not know when the time of grace will end. The Lord warns us to be ready, for it will come without warning. So, we keep encouraging each other, proclaiming the Gospel to all.
